HIT_ENTER

Group chat with channels, DMs, files, voice and zaps. No servers: every app is a relay.

Your identity is a key on your own computer. Your groups live on the computers of the people in them.

0.1.0-beta.3 · Linux x86-64 (Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12 and newer) · macOS Apple silicon (M1 and later) · Intel Macs and Windows are coming. It is a beta: expect rough edges.

New in beta.3: a native window instead of a web engine. On the same computer, the app went from 264 MB to 32 MB before you sign in, and from 620 MB to 62 MB with a channel of 1,000 messages open.

macOS: the beta is not signed by Apple yet, so macOS will say it “is damaged and can't be opened”. Drag HIT_ENTER into Applications, then run this once in Terminal:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/HIT_ENTER.app

Updating on macOS asks for your keychain password, because each unsigned build looks like a new app to macOS. Enter your Mac's login keychain password, or restore your identity from your backup file instead.

All files and checksums: releases.
